We did an account analysis for a prospective client. Their reimbursements were top tier. The coding looked really strong. But their number of days authorized really crushed them.
Their biller increased the number of days authorized significantly from 2019 to 2020, but let their authorizations drop by about 5 days for partial hospitalization, which means they left about $450k of insurance reimbursements on the table.
Totally painful!
